Atmore Painters was honored to be awarded the contract to redecorate Irene Court at the end of 2023. This Art Deco-inspired building, situated in the leafy suburb of Newlands, required a full exterior repaint, with careful attention to both preserving its architectural charm and providing a durable, long-lasting finish.

Preparation & Painting Process
The entire building was high-pressure washed to remove dirt, grime, and loose paint, ensuring a clean surface for repainting.
General crack repairs were carried out to restore the structural integrity of the exterior walls.
A full coat of Plascon Plaster Primer was applied for optimal paint adhesion and surface protection.
Two full coats of Plascon Professional Low Sheen were applied, providing a smooth, weather-resistant, and elegant finish.
Colour Consultation & Aesthetic Enhancement
The paint colours were carefully selected in close consultation with the trustees, ensuring that the new colour scheme complemented the building’s heritage and surroundings.
The result was a refreshed, sophisticated appearance that enhanced the building’s character without following fleeting trends.
Project Success
The completed redecoration of Irene Court revitalized the building, enhancing its curb appeal while ensuring long-term protection against the elements. The trustees and residents were delighted with the outcome, making this another successful project for Atmore Painters.
